Assemblies / Theme of the Week

 

Each year group has an assembly once a week during the tutor period at the end of the day. Assemblies are held in the Main Hall, led by the Achievement Leader or a member of the School Leadership Team. Students report directly to the Hall at the end of Period 5, where they are registered by their tutor.

A published Theme for the Week underpins the assemblies and provides a focus for tutor work. Themes reflect the Every Child Matters agenda and the school's commitment to globalisation and the Cross-curricular themes:

The Sixth Form assembly is held on a Wednesday as part of the enrichment programme. These are delivered by a member of the Senior Leadership Team and lead into the General Studies topics.
