Communication with Parents

 

The school uses Schoolcomms as its provider for home/school communication, who offer a service called ‘School Gateway’. This means that we can share information with parents quickly via email, text, online and using a smartphone App which will save parents, and the school, time and money.

Using either the webpage or the smart phone app, you will be able to view the following for your child(ren):

  • Achievements
  • Behaviour
  • Attendance
  • Lesson timetable
  • Assessment results

You can make payments for trips via bank transfer and debit/credit card and give online consent for activities such as school trips. You can also pay for school dinners (using PAYMENTS) and see what your child has eaten. You can use a debit/credit card to make payments using your APP. If you would like to pay by bank transfer, you first need to log onto the web version of School Gateway and pay that way first. You will then have an option when using the APP to pay by card or bank transfer.

Please be aware that School Comms and the catering software update every 20 minutes, so there could be a short delay between making a payment for lunch money and the balance updating. Please also note that the catering server shuts down at 5.30pm, so any payments made in the evening will not show until the following morning.

What you need to do now?

Activate your School Gateway account. It’s quick and easy to do. All you need are your email address and mobile number that school holds on record for you.

Download the app: If you have a smartphone, please download School Gateway from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same information as the website, PLUS you can message the school for FREE– this will also save the school money when we send you a text message.

OR

Visit the website: www.schoolgateway.com and click on ‘NewUser’. You’ll receive a text message with a PIN number. Use this PIN to log into School Gateway. If you’re having trouble logging in, it may be because we don’t have your current email and mobile phone number on record. Please call school and we’ll update the details on our system.
