Remote Desktop

We provide access to our network over the internet for students and staff using Terminal Server technology. Authorised users of the network can "log in" from any Internet-connected PC in the world, promoting anytime, anyplace learning.

In order to use this functionality, you will need a PC with the Remote Desktop client installed on it (or a compatible piece of software if using one of the many flavours of Linux such as Ubuntu or Mac OS X). This should not be a problem for most as the software is included free-of-charge with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Start the software (found in START -> PROGRAMS -> ACCESSORIES on Windows PCs) and enter into the "connect to" box.

You will need to use your fully-qualified logon - i.e. SPRINGFIELD\your_username - to gain access.
