GCSE Results

Published: 24th August 2017

Students at The Long Eaton School collecting their GCSE results were able to discover that they had risen well to the challenge of new qualifications and a tougher grading system in English and Mathematics. The number of students achieving strong passes in English and Mathematics exceeded what is expected to be the national benchmark. In addition, twenty students achieved at least 8 of the highest three grades across the board.  More than 3% of students achieved the new highest grade in Mathematics, with only 3% expected to achieve this nationally. Andy Hunt, Headteacher, said "all of us at the school are very proud of the way in which our students and teachers have risen to the challenge of these new tougher qualifications!”.
