Weekly Bulletin (28 January)

Dear Parent/Carer

Welcome to your latest bulletin. Here are some key dates and information for you.

Holocaust Memorial Day

Monday saw the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and was Holocaust Memorial Day. As such we are running assemblies on this topic all week.

Year 11 Breakfast Booster

It was incredible to see over a quarter of all Year 11 students at Breakfast Booster this morning, starting the day in the right way and cracking on with some revision. Well done to those who attended.

Year 11 Revision Help

All Year 11 students should have their revision well underway. To help with this, there are a list of topics for each subject that students need to revise for their exams on our website on the 11-16 tab under Revision (some to be updated this week).

Year 11 Clinics

Other help for Year 11 with revision and exam practice can be found after school or at lunchtimes. A full list of clinics will be on the website shortly.

TLES Staff Talent Contest

We will be holding a staff talent contest on Tuesday 11 February. The top 50 students per year group based on achievement points since 6 January will be invited to watch, should be a great event!

INSET 14 February

A reminder that 14 February is an INSET day and therefore students will not be in school on this day.

Careers Update

Year 11 students are able to go along to the careers drop in service on a Monday lunchtime in the library.

National Apprenticeship Week

Next week is National Apprenticeship week. All students should be considering their future plans and this week offers a good opportunity to look into some of the apprenticeship options available to them in the future. More information can be found on:

School Rules

A reminder that aerosol deodorant is banned for all students. Students are permitted to have a roll on or a water based spray on them but no aerosols.

Car Parking

Please can we remind all parents that the school car parks are not to be used as a drop off point. Students should be dropped off and picked up on the surrounding roads. This includes the 16+ car park.

Thank you

Kind Regards
