Information for schools: Royal Life Saving Society’s UK Drowning Prevention Week 2026
The Royal Life Saving Society’s UK Drowning Prevention Week takes place 13 to 20 June 2026.
Drowning Prevention Week educates children aged 5 to 17 each June with crucial water safety advice just before the summer holidays, when young people are outdoors more and need these skills and knowledge most, so everyone can enjoy water safely.
Support includes, free resources in relation to water safety and the water safety code and information on activities near you to raise awareness and educate children in water safety and lifesaving skills.
Please share this information with parents and carers.
Other resources include the national water safety forum – UK drowning prevention strategy, child accident prevention trust – drowning, the British Red Cross – staying safe around water: first aid for drowning and the RNLI respect the water campaign.
FACE offers parents practical advice, information and support, across a wide range of topics, including supporting neurodiverse children, understanding emotions and managing behaviour.
Go to facefamilyadvice.co.uk Go to PARENTS – Live talks page.
To access the talks free of charge, please contact school to receive the access code.
This can be used by any parents from our school for unlimited access to all the regular FACE Parent Talks (usually £24 each). The code cannot be used on any other FACE services and must not be shared with parents from other schools.
At the payment stage of booking, add the school code where it says ADD PROMO CODE. This will drop the price from £24 to £0.
