All admissions to the school are processed through Derbyshire County Council.
Parents of Year 6 students will be contacted during early September, via their Junior School, on the process for secondary school applications. It is vital that parents adhere to the deadline date for completion of their application, which is normally 31 October. If an application is submitted after this date, a place at The Long Eaton School is not guaranteed, even if it is the catchment school, and the applicant will need to go through the appeals process.
For students moving into the area, parents first need to contact the Admissions Office at DCC on 01629 537470, who will send out an application pack, or log onto the DCC website for instructions on how to apply online. At present the school is oversubscribed in most years, so if parents are informed that a place is not available, they will need to follow the appeals process.
If you are moving into the area and would like to find out if your address is within our catchment, please put your postcode into the DCC Website to find the catchment school. If you would like to compare our school with others in the area, please look at the Gov.UK website. If you require any further information, please see the relevant Admissions Policy.
